Press Release Body: Leeds, UK, October 08, 2008 -- Due to increased demand, i-to-i
now offers seven different volunteer vacations in China. Volunteers can work with
underprivileged children, teach English, work in museums or help protect pandas.

Travel in China has become much easier since the relaxation of restrictions on
foreign travelers and massive improvements in rail and road networks. From the snow
capped Himalayan plateau to the shores of the South China Sea, the steaming jungles
of the tropical south to the windswept grasslands of Inner Mongolia, the country’s
breadth of climates and landscapes is unmatched anywhere else on the planet and
makes volunteer travel in China a truly memorable experience.

Options for a Volunteer Vacation in China:

Community work with Special Needs Children around Xi'an

Volunteers will offer essential support to staff and give the children the love and
attention they may not be getting otherwise. Children at these centers often have
little contact with the outside world, so the opportunity to meet and interact with
foreigners is a rare and valuable learning experience for them. Volunteer
vacationers can offer the kids a valuable insight into the Western culture, while
providing them with the chance to learn some English; an essential life skill which
will create opportunities for them as they mature.

The Community Work with Special Needs Children Volunteer Vacation in China lasts for
4 weeks and costs $2050, including accommodations and meals.

Panda Conservation near Xi'an, China

At this project volunteer vacationers will be working in a Chinese conservation
center that aims to preserve some of the world's most endangered species. These
include: Giant Pandas, Golden Monkeys, the Crested Ibis as well as the Sika.
Volunteers will also help the staff with their English, which is important so that
they can attract more tourists and generate an increase in revenue at the centre,
this can then pay for research and looking after the pandas. The staff must improve
their English, so that they can attend international conferences about animal
conservation.

The Panda Conservation Volunteer Vacation in China lasts for 2 weeks and costs
$1750, including accommodations and meals.

Work experience at world famous museums in China

Volunteers will step back in time and discover the fascinating secrets of China's
past at one of its key museums in Xi’an. Volunteers will be working in the
underground exhibition halls at the Han Yangling Museum with some of the country's
most prized national treasures, so handle with care! They will spend their days
assisting tour guides with their English as well as guiding tour groups.

The China Volunteer Vacation to work in a museum lasts for 2 weeks and costs $1990,
including accommodations and meals.
